34613: Imhotep - English (3/6)
Untitled document

The base of Tomorrow’s Outlook sonically appears to be rooted in European and American traditional acts such as Artch, Queensrÿche, Heir Apparent and so forth. Soaring vocal passages, occasional forays into twin guitar harmonies, but material that certainly appeals to an older generation appears to be the game plan for the group.

34613: Sonic Abuse - English
Untitled document

It may not hold true, but in my mind’s eye I have a vision of the Battlegod office as a dungeon, filled with blood soaked weaponry and the spoils of war. If it should prove to be a simple office I will be most disappointed, but in the meantime the label is doing a good job of reinforcing my mental image of its premises with this gloriously over-the-top offering from tomorrow’s outlook, a Norwegian studio project featuring such luminaries of the rock scene as Graham Bonnet (yep – of Rainbow fame) and Michael Kiske.

Man höre das im Ansatz wirklich großartige "A Song For You" (die genialen Siam lassen grüßen!), das zumindest teilweise absolut überzeugende "Gate To Freedom" oder einige wunderbare Elemente von "Doubt" (Maraya und Sanvoisen seien hier genannt) und "The Ethereal Dream (hier könnte man neben der herrlichen Stimme von Michael Kiske gut und gern Ansätze von Queensryche oder Crimson Glory erahnen).

I guess the effort spent digging into “34613” from TOMORROW’S OUTLOOK was well worth it. For sure, I would never have bought it from the cover or even giving it a spin in the shop. So yes, it took a while to get into it, mainly since it is a whole lot to take in. But this is a massive piece of great Prog/Power Metal and sure an interesting project.

34613: Time For Metal - German (6/10)
Untitled document

34613: Magazyn Gitarzysta - Polish (7/10)
Untitled document

Pomimo beznadziejnego, topornego intro w treści tego niemalże godzinnego materiału można wychwycić całą masę solidnych, a tu i ówdzie znakomitych, zagrywek. Jest tu sporo heavy metalowego rzemiosła ("Glass Mountain", "Doubt", "Kill Again"), power metalowego kunsztu ("Liqud Dream", "March Of Demons") , a także klasycznej ballady ("A Song For You", "The Eternal Dream").

34613: Über Röck - English

And, it must be admitted, the little silver disc inside isn't that far behind, as, despite several faults - not least in the category of 'Most Cheesy Lyrics Of The Year', especially on the likes of 'Gates To Freedom' and 'The Ethereal Dream' - this is an album which ticks all right boxes in terms of pure, unadulterated, classic rock.
