Natürlich haben die beiden auch einige gute, wenn auch nicht ganz kitschfreie Hardrock-Songs geschrieben, deren stilistische Ausrichtung zwischen alten Helloween und Yngwie Malmsteen pendelt. Alles in allem ganz nett, aber angesichts der großen Konkurrenz erstklassiger Veröffentlichungen gleichwertiger „richtiger“ Bands wohl nur für Supporter mit sehr, sehr dicker Geldtasche oder Die-hard-Fans der genannten Stars ein Muss.

Il risultato musicale si pone a metà tra un metal classico di derivazione Maiden e dintorni, con alcune puntate nel power melodico più classico, tra Edguy e i soliti Helloween, con un songwriting che però si rivela anche fin troppo eterogeneo, togliendo all’ascoltatore un punto di riferimento unico che, in un progetto multinome come questo, è abbastanza essenziale per assicurare una minima base di fan.

With "A Song For You" and "The Ethereal Dream" there are two nice emotional ballads on the album. Personally I prefer the heavier tracks like "Doubt" ,"Liquid Scream" or the faster parts in several songs. That not all the singing is first class can be heard in "March of the Demons". The high vocals derail regularly. "The Ethereal Dream" can be heard twice on the album, one with Mike Gorham and the second with Michael Kiske on vocals. I would say: "pick your favorite".

Und schon wieder eine vermeintliche Super-Group. Namedropping gefällig? Graham Bonnet (u.a. MSG), Michael Kiske (Helloween) sowie eine ganze Riege anderer Szene-Berühmtheiten geben sich hier die Ehre. Man muß allerdings auch nur die beiden erstgenannten kennen, um zu wissen, was uns hier aus Norwegen erwartet: True Metal. Und genau diesen Anspruch erfüllen TOMORROW'S OUTLOOK auf "34613" zu 100%.

Si bien he de reconocer que “34613” (el disco) no es un álbum que requiera de dos escuchas para tratar de asimilarlo, con una sola entenderás totalmente de que se trata, aunque en las siguientes exprimas su contenido, porque si el propósito de una ilusión consiste en hacernos creer, aunque sea sólo por una fracción de segundo, que lo que estamos viendo existe o está ocurriendo de verdad, temas como “White Lightning” o “Liquid Scream” cerrando los ojos nos transportan al mundo de fantasía creado por los noruegos en la hora de rodaje del álbum.

Auf dem Album finden sich reihenweise 80er Jahre Einflüsse wie SAVATAGE, HELLOWEEN, SKID ROW oder IRON MAIDEN. Bei "The Eterial Dream" denke ich sogleich an SAVATAGE, "Gate to Freedom" klingt wie eine Mischung aus HELLOWEEN trifft STRATOVARIOUS die an mancher Stelle mit AVANTASIA liebäugelt. Bei der tollen Melodic Hymne "Glass Mountain" muss ich an die Zeit von Blaze Bailey bei IRON MAIDEN denken, während balladeskes Zeug wie "A Song for You" leichte SKID ROW/MR.BIG Färbung besitzt.

Nun, man spielt traditionellen Heavy Metal der 80er, der sich durchaus an Bands wie Iron Maiden, Helloween, aber auch jüngeren wie beispielsweise Stratovarius orientiert. Dazu hat man sich einen Haufen Gäste an Bord geholt, wo unter anderem ein gewisser Michael Kiske dabei ist. Und um es kurz zu machen. Das Album ist ordentlich, handwerklich top und bietet alles, was man von einer solchen Platte erwartet.

The tones of Bonnet on the unremarkable "Glass Mountain" and Kiske (power metal flag waver "The Ethereal Dream") are unmistakable however both are outperformed here by the melodic metal vocals of Mike Gorham (Autumn Silence, Without Warning) who really shines on the evocative mid-tempo power ballad "A Song For You", a stand out moment that lifts 34613 from above the one-dimensional average rock release and hints at what they are capable of.

Nachdem man von dem grauenvollen Cover noch skeptischer geworden ist, überrascht "34613" dann aber eher angenehm, bietet das Album doch klassischen Heavy Metal amerikanischer Prägung. Aus diesem Grunde paßt auch das gelungene LIZZY BORDEN-Cover "Red Rum" perfekt zum Rest der Platte, auch wenn die Songs von TOMORROW'S OUTLOOK nicht die Klasse von Lizzy & Co.

The first half starts out with some excellent arrangements, they really work well, and the expressive and direct talking to the listener in the lyrics is especially prevalent in the beautiful semi-ballad ‘A Song for You’. Starting out slow and emotive, the tempo increases, as does the hold of your attention span. You will continue to get immersed in the other tracks of this half, namely ‘Glass Mountain’ and the epic ‘Ethereal Dream’.
